With over a decade of experience in campaign strategy, grassroots advocacy, and lobbying, Damara Catlett brings a thoughtful, innovative and thorough approach to her role as principal. In her role at The Raben Group, Damara manages a diverse portfolio of clients comprised of tech companies, and traditional civil rights groups, including, Discovery Channel, the African American Mayors Association, Google, Music First and Oculus.
She helped manage efforts for the Second Chance on Shoot First campaign, which brought national awareness to Stand Your Ground laws following the shooting of Trayvon Martin. In 2012, Damara led a multi-state civic engagement campaign focused on voter registration and engagement, efforts for the National Urban League; the campaign brought together key stakeholders with state organizers, and in the end, reached over 350,000 African American voters.
Damara is also the Executive Director or Full Color Future. Full Color Future (FCF) is a think tank and advocacy organization that represents diverse technologists, content creators, policy influencers and social justice activists using technology and media platforms. FCF analyzes technology issues through a multicultural equity lens and study its impact on technology practitioners and communities of color.
Damara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Africana Studies and History from Franklin & Marshall College, is a Kennedy Center Culture Caucus Fellow and was a 2012 New Leaders Council Institute fellow. She is a native of Philadelphia, PA.
