Jasmine Govan is a Palm Beach native who prides herself on being a community advocate, consultant, donor relations & stewardship expert and nonprofit leader. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from Florida A&M University, and her Master’s Degree in Marketing from Florida State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in both. After completing her education, Jasmine returned home to serve the community in which she was raised.
Her career began in Government. First through the Florida Senate with Senator Joseph Abruzzo, then the United States Senate with Senator Bill Nelson as a legislative assistant. She then ventured into the field of philanthropy as the Former Assistant Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. Currently, Jasmine serves as the Donor Development Officer with the American Red Cross – raising support and awareness for the Red Cross mission. With one of her focuses being to maintain donor relationships and retention at all giving levels, she created the first ever South FL Region-wide Stewardship Plan. Which is currently used by American Red Cross chapters located in Naples to Key West.
Jasmine is a strong advocate for leadership and youth empowerment. She continues to show her commitment to her community through her involvement in numerous organizations. She serves as Founder and CEO of Burgess-Govan Consulting, Chapter Co-Director of New Leaders Council Palm Beach, External Affairs Chair of The Urban League Young Professionals Palm Beach Chapter, Subject Matter Expert of Stewardship at the American Red Cross and current Titleholder for the Miss Grand Florida Organization. A philosophy that she goes by is that from Ghandi, which states “the future depends on what you do today”.
