Shundrice Tucker is a recent 2020 fellow with NLC Twin Cities and is devoted to advancing equity in education. Born and raised in Memphis, Shundrice grew up in an animated household that valued education and service to humanity. She completed her undergraduate studies at Tennessee State University and earned an M.F.A. from DePaul University Theatre School. With a heavy background in youth development, theatre arts, and public education, she is inspired by the Marian Wright Edelman quote, “if you don’t stand for children, you don’t stand for much.” She currently serves on the Steppingstone Theatre Board, Equity and Diversity Impact Assessment Committee and the Fred Wells Tennis Education Center Advisory Committee. She enjoys jazz, tennis, kayaking, and traveling. Shundrice recently relocated to Brooklyn and is an Outreach Director with Educators for Excellence.
